If you don’t need to make withdrawals, locking your funds away with a Notice Deposit Account allows you to access more competitive rates.
Access your funds with either 35 or 100 days’ notice
Interest will be paid monthly. Depending on where you are, you can have the interest paid into your Funding, Notice Deposit or an alternative account
Minimum balance to open, and maintain, an account is £100,000, $100,000 or €100,000. Maximum balance is £25 million, $40 million or €10 million
Open your account in sterling, US dollar or euro in the jurisdiction that suits you
Things to consider
- Withdrawals are subject to the notice period of 35 or 100 days
- The notice period starts as soon as you send us your instruction, and if you do so before 12pm UK time
- During the notice period, a lower rate of interest will apply to the amount being withdrawn
- Clients must already hold a Funding account. Both the Funding and the Notice Deposit Account must be held in the same currency and sort code

Yes, rates are variable. We can increase or decrease the interest rates as set out in ‘Barclays Bank Terms’. For more details on when we may change the interest rates and the notice that we’ll give you, please see our 'Barclays Bank Terms’ booklet, which can be obtained from your usual contact point or viewed online on our Terms and Conditions page.

35-day Notice Deposit Account: This is a notice product that requires you to give 35 days' notice of your intention to withdraw funds. Thirty-five days after you have given notice, the funds will be credited to your Funding account.
100-day Notice Deposit Account: This is a notice product that requires you to give 100 days' notice of your intention to withdraw funds. One hundred days after you have given notice, the funds will be credited to your Funding account.
You can make partial withdrawals by providing the required notice. Withdrawals must be a minimum of £50,000, €50,000 or $50,000 and the account balance must remain above minimum requirements (£100,000, €100,000 or $100,000). If you give notice of a withdrawal, the post-notice interest rate will apply to the value of funds on notice to be withdrawn during the notice period. Any remaining balance will continue to receive the pre-notice interest rate.

You can have more than one deposit account at any given time in sole or joint names, provided the total balances do not exceed £25 million or $40 million.
